Zotac GeForce GTX 660 Ti 2GB Amp! Extreme - Overclocking

Given the already significant overclock applied to the core of the amp! Extreme Edition, we weren't expecting the card to have much more left to give, but nevertheless we set about pushing it to its limit with EVGA's Precision tool.

Even with the power limit and voltage set to the maximum allowed by Precision, we were unable to add more than 20MHz to the core clock before the card started to make a fuss. This left us with a clock speed of 1,118MHz and a boost clock of 1,196MHz, and at this setting the card maxed out at 1,275Mhz when boosting. This is actually 15MHz less than what we were able to hit with the original amp! Edition, but compared to the reference frequency this difference is minimal and can be attributed to sample variance. It's also indicative of just how far Zotac has pushed the GTX 660 Ti GPU.

As for the memory, once again we could only push it to 1.675GHz (6.7GHz effective) before crashes and artifacting began to occur. This is the same frequency we achieved with both of the GTX 660 Ti cards we reviewed before. Satisfied with our efforts, we re-ran the high resolution single screen Battlefield test and the Unigine benchmark.
